INCENTIVE PACKAGE FOR INDUSTRIES
Authority has been pleased to extend the ‘Incentive Package for Industries' upto 30.06.2005.
All categories of industry except until further order, will be regulated, under the incentive packages, as per following provision:- |

The industrial connections lying disconnected for six months or more will pay 25% of total arrears as down payment whereupon connection will be restored subject to the provisional Reconnection Policy notified vide No. 1357-74/M(P) /GMCS/ DD(R&CP) /59026 dated 11.10.1999 and exemption given in Clause No. c below. |

The balance arrears outstanding against that industrial unit are allowed to be paid in monthly installments. The Chief Executive Officers are permitted to decide number of installments which shall not exceed 12 No. of installments irrespective of No. of months to which arrears pertain. |

Minimum/ fixed charges recoverable under Clause-ii of the Reconnection Policy circulated vide No. 1357-74/GMCS/DD(R&CP)/ 59026 dated 11.10.1999 are exempted for those consumers who will come forward for Reconnection and pay 25% of total arrears as down payment before 30.06.2005. Exemption will also be admissible to those consumers against whom there is no arrear. |

Disconnected industrial consumers applying for reconnection within 5 years of disconnection date be given relief for the cost they had already paid less depreciation. Only differential cost would be charged for reconnection. Depreciation value will be calculated on the basis of 20 years useful life of equipment. |

Industrial consumers, seeking reconnection within 5 years of disconnection date are allowed to pay 50% of additional security deposit as down payment before reconnection and balance 50% in 3-4 installments payable upto 30.06.2005, subject to the condition that sanctioned load remains unchanged. However this relief will not be applicable to the industries where electricity is used as indigenous raw material such as Arc Furnaces etc. |

Mark up will be levied on payment of arrears in installments as per prevalent bank rate. |

The defaulting consumer who are not interested in getting reconnection also also allowed to clear their outstanding arrears in installments in the manner prescribed at Sr. No. 2. |

If any industrial unit defaults in payment of current monthly bill or installment amount, the connection of that unit will be disconnected without giving any notice required under normal practice and he will not entitled to re-avail above packages next time. |

An undertaking subject to above conditions will be obtained before restoration of the connection. |

10% rebate will be given on minimum of 25%increase in KWH consumption of a billing month gained on existing load and not through extension in load as compared to the average consumption for three months of the previous year. The average consumption will be calculated by taking the corresponding, preceding and succeeding months of last year. The rebate will be admissible only on the variable charges based on increased consumption and is not to be given on fixed charges, Hydel Surcharge, Electricity Duty, Income Tax and GST. |

7% incentive per annum will also be given to those consumers who will make advance payment, in addition to normal consumption bill issued manually or through computer of their electricity bills equivalent to average bill for a period of three months, adjustable against future monthly bills. |

Load sanctioning authority of an industrial connection will be the competent autority to allow above incentive package. However CEO of the company will be the final authority in all cases. In case of any dispute, before approaching any other forum, the mater shall be referred to the authority next to the load sanctioning authority of that connection. GM (Customer Services) will be final competent authority to resolve the disputes. The disputes will be decided within one month period. |

The authority decided that permanently disconnected consumers with age five year or above as on June 30, 2004, are allowed to pay fifty percent of the arrears and remaining fifty percent amount will be waived off. This incentive package for recovery of arrears for permanently disconnected consumers will remain effective upto 30.06 2005. After settlement of arrears, such consumers will be entitled to new connection as per existing policy. This relief, however, will not be applicable to defaulting consumers of Arc / induction steel Furnaces. |
